Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
Effective date: October 14, 2026
This policy applies to every client and every person who uses BrimScout, which is operated by BRIMSCOUT LLC. It is part of our Terms of Service. We may decline any request, or pause a Change, that we believe breaks this policy.
1. Products and marketing
You may not use BrimScout to advertise or promote:
- products or services that are illegal where they are sold, or that the platform involved restricts or prohibits for you;
- products with false or misleading claims, or claims you cannot support with evidence, including health, safety, "clinically proven" or environmental claims; or
- content that infringes someone else's trademark, copyright or other rights, including using another company's brand name in ad copy without the right to do so.
2. Reviews, ratings and endorsements
You may not ask us, or use BrimScout, to:
- write, buy, sell or arrange fake reviews or testimonials, including AI-generated reviews;
- offer anything of value in exchange for an Amazon review, or for a review with a particular rating or sentiment;
- suppress, hide or pressure people to remove honest negative reviews;
- buy or sell fake followers, views or other indicators of social media influence; or
- ask a creator to hide, delay or blur the disclosure of a paid or free-product relationship.
These practices break the Federal Trade Commission's rules on consumer reviews and endorsements and the platforms' own rules.
3. Marketplace rules
You may not use BrimScout to:
- manipulate a marketplace's search results, sales rank or reviews, for example with fake or self-funded orders;
- interfere with another seller's listings or ads, for example by making false reports or hijacking listings;
- contact a marketplace's customers outside the channels and purposes the marketplace allows; or
- use data from Amazon or another platform in a way that platform's policies do not allow.
4. Accounts and access
You may not:
- give us access to an account you are not authorized to share, or upload data you do not have the right to share;
- send us buyer personal information, such as names, addresses or phone numbers, unless we have agreed in writing that it is needed;
- share your BrimScout login, or let people outside your business use it;
- try to view another client's data, or get around access controls, approval steps or Limits; or
- use someone else's credentials.
5. The service itself
You may not:
- interfere with, overload or attack BrimScout or its providers, including by sending malware or running automated scans without our written permission;
- copy, scrape, resell or reverse engineer BrimScout, except where the law allows; or
- use the AI chat to create unlawful, harmful or deceptive content, or in any way that breaks the usage policy of our AI provider, Anthropic.
6. Email, messages and outreach
You may not ask us to send messages on your behalf that break anti-spam or telemarketing laws, such as the CAN-SPAM Act, or that go to people who have asked not to be contacted.
7. What happens if this policy is broken
We may refuse a request, pause or reverse a Change where the platform allows, suspend access, or end the agreement as described in our Terms of Service. Where we can, we will tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to fix it. We may report illegal activity to the authorities or to the platform involved.
8. Reporting a problem
If you see something on BrimScout that breaks this policy, or you find a security issue, email support@brimscout.com.
